Czech Police have confirmed that there have been casualties in a shooting incident near a university in central Prague.
The incident reportedly took place at Jan Palach Square, specifically at Charles University Faculty of Arts. As a precautionary measure, authorities have closed off the entire square and its surroundings. The police have advised citizens to steer clear of the area and remain indoors until further notice. Charles University, situated in Prague’s Old Town, is approximately 500m away from the popular tourist attraction, Charles Bridge.
