Greek Airport Passenger Traffic Reaches New Record High in 2023

According to a report by the Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday, passenger traffic at Greek airports reached a new record high in 2023, reaching a total of 72,613,658. This is an increase from 63,672,121 in 2022 and 64,169,005 in 2019, representing growth rates of 14% and 13.2%, respectively.

In December, there was a 16.2% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2022, and a 13.4% increase compared to 2019, totaling 2,839,289 passengers.

The total number of scheduled flights, both domestic and international, in 2023 was 561,869, showing a 1.7% increase from 2022 and a 6.8% increase from 2019. In December, there were 24,583 flights, a 1.6% increase from 2022 and a 4.6% increase from 2019.
