Deadline for submitting your film and your project to the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival

The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF) announced on January 23 that submissions are now open. The LAGFF accepts films completed in the previous two years in all categories — features and shorts, fiction, documentaries, and animation works. Key filmmaker(s) — screenwriter, director, producer, lead actor — must be Greek or of Greek descent. The regular deadline is February 29, 2024. Submit your feature film project as a treatment or screenplay draft to Discovery Days and have your story and pitch workshopped in Los Angeles and Athens by American experts. Projects must originate from Greece, Cyprus, Balkan, or Mediterranean countries. The regular deadline is March 1, 2024. LAGFF also announced that the 2nd Annual Greek Film Festival Summit will take place online Saturday, February 10, at 11 AM Pacific Time/ 2 PM Eastern Time/ 9 PM Greece. “We believe in the power of the Diaspora to advance and contribute to Greek culture and the global artistic community,” LAGFF said in a statement via email. “We are happy to provide the second annual global platform for Greek film festivals outside Greece to meet virtually and contemplate issues that we are all facing, to brainstorm and share ideas.”
