Caramelised almonds in the air fryer: the easy sweet snack

Caramelised almonds

Nuts are a healthy snack that we should all normally consume daily. All the experts recommend eating a handful of almonds, walnuts, and cashews every day... However, isn't it a bit... boring to eat plain raw almonds? What if we gave them a little taste and a little sweetness?

Because we love the air fryer, we found a recipe made in a pinch in this device that turns almonds into a snack that can either be eaten plain or accompany your drink.


One egg white
1 tsp. tablespoons vanilla extract
2 cups almonds
3 tsp. granulated sugar
3 tsp. brown sugar
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. cinnamon powder


Preheat the air fryer. And while it preheats, beat the egg white well. Add the vanilla and mix. Then add the almonds and mix very well.

In another bowl, mix the sugars, salt and cinnamon well.

Pour the sugar mixture into the almond mixture and mix very well to cover all the almonds evenly.

Line the air fryer with parchment paper and carefully place the almonds in one layer so that they cook evenly. Bake them for about 25 minutes until they become very crispy. Check them from time to time to see if they need a turn.

After removing them from the air fryer, let them cool well and store them in an airtight container.
