Melbourne's Evangelismos Church, also known as The Annunciation of Our Lady, is getting ready to welcome its devoted congregation back after a transformative restoration project. This significant event will coincide with the Sunday of Orthodoxy feast and the National Day of March 25, 1821.

On March 24, the church will reveal its refreshed interior to the public, with Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis leading the Vespers on Sunday evening and the Divine Liturgy on Monday morning.

The Andrianopoulos Family has played a crucial role in supporting the church's restoration efforts. Thanks to their involvement, the project, which includes a new marble floor and updated furnishings, breathes new life into the church while paying homage to its rich history.

Since its establishment in 1901, Evangelismos Church has been an unwavering pillar of the Greek community, promoting spiritual growth and cultural exchange for over a century.

Despite facing challenges, such as a devastating fire in 2016, the church has persevered, embodying the resilient spirit of its congregation.

To mark the grand reopening, a Luncheon featuring delicious fish and seafood will be held, providing an opportunity for fellowship and celebration.

For those eager to partake in the festivities, tickets for the Luncheon can be obtained through Fr. Antonios Vanikiotis.
