Fire Damages Greek Orthodox Christie Downs Church

A fire ripped through the Greek Orthodox Parish of Saint Andrew on Beach Road in Christie Downs in Adelaide on Saturday evening, causing extensive damage.

Emergency services were called shortly before 8:00 p.m. after reports of flames erupting from the church's upper windows. Firefighters battled the blaze for some time before successfully extinguishing it.

Thankfully, the church was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Fire investigators deemed the cause of the fire non-suspicious, but the building sustained significant damage.
