Ship Jennifer to Depart for Gaza with 500 Tonnes of Humanitarian Aid

The ship Jennifer is set to depart from Larnaca port to Gaza, carrying 500 tonnes of humanitarian aid on Saturday afternoon.

According to Deputy Government Spokesman Yiannis Antoniou, all preparations for the departure have been made and inspections by the Republic of Cyprus and Israeli authorities have been carried out in accordance with the agreed protocols.

The ship is expected to leave shortly after noon, thanks to improved weather conditions. In addition, the Republic of Cyprus is committed to implementing the 'Amalthea' plan. Meanwhile, President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, will be arriving in Cyprus on Monday evening for a meeting with President Nicos Anastasiades and a working dinner. On Tuesday, she will visit Larnaca port to learn about the 'Amalthea' plan and observe the coordination processes at the 'Zenon' Coordination Centre, involving various states and organizations.
