Greek Prime Minister Meets with Archbishop Makarios of Australia; expresses support for Archdiocese initiatives

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Archbishop Makarios of Australia at Maximos Mansion today, and expressed his undivided support for the social work of the Archdiocese. 

During the meeting, Mitsotakis expressed his undivided support for the charitable and social work of the Archdiocese and thanked the Archbishop for the continuous contribution of the Church to maintaining and strengthening the ties between Greece and the diaspora.

Earlier this week, Archbishop Makarios visited the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (E.K.P.A.) where he received a warm welcome from the Rector of the historic Institution, Professor Gerasimos Siassos, in the presence of the Dean of his Theological School, Professor Emmanuel Karageorgoudis.
