Highlighting the rich history of Greek migration to Chile, dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, President Sakellaropoulou paid tribute to the enduring contributions of Greek immigrants to cities like Antofagasta, Santiago, and Valparaiso. She also honoured the brave Greek sailors who fought alongside Chilean heroes in historic battles, cementing the bonds between the two nations.
