Dolphin spotted in the shallows of Nea Peramos Beach, Kavala - Watch video

A young bottlenose dolphin was spotted in the shallows of Nea Peramos beach in Kavala on Tuesday.

A veterinarian from the ARION Network, a group that provides first aid to cetaceans, was immediately at the scene and gave the animal first aid on the spot.

A volunteer guided the dolphin out to sea, and ARION is monitoring its development in case it returns to the shallows soon.

In fact, in a statement, ARION appeals to the public not to try to chase or catch the animal but to move away from it.
