A tragic road accident occurred in Evia on Thursday, June 27, when a 17-year-old driving a truck collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the 16-year-old motorcyclist.
New evidence reveals that the truck driver was also a minor.
According to eviaonline.gr, the accident took place in Karystos, Evia, where the 16-year-old victim was struck and killed by the truck. Following investigations, authorities arrested the 17-year-old driver, who now faces charges of manslaughter by negligence.
Additionally, the 47-year-old mother of the juvenile driver was arrested for neglect of a minor. The truck, owned by the family, was being driven without a licence. The father of the 17-year-old is reportedly out of the country. Sources indicate that both the victim and the driver attended the same school.
The case will be presented to the prosecutor as the investigation continues.
