Adelaide, South Australia – The 2024 Greek Film Festival is set to return to Adelaide from October 22-27, showcasing eight films over six days at the Palace Nova Cinemas in Prospect. Presented by the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia (GOCSA), the festival promises to transport audiences to the heart of Greek culture, history, and creativity.
Festival Chair Hellas Lucas expressed the importance of cinema as a medium to explore Greek heritage and its influence on Australians. "Cinema can transport us to different worlds, evoke emotions, and shed light on diverse stories," Lucas said. The 2024 Greek Film Festival unfurls a canvas of bold narratives and remarkable visions, mirroring the evolving dynamics of the homeland and, more broadly, our world."
The festival's headliner is the quirky comedy "Hear Who's Talking," directed by Thodoris Niarchos. The film follows Fotis, a life coach whose life has reached an impasse.
Tickets for the Opening Night Film are available online at palacenova.com.au or in person at the Palace Nova Cinema box offices. Prices for general festival sessions are $25 for adults and $20 for students, seniors, and pensioners.
