The Turkish Defense Ministry has announced that Turkey will conduct a large-scale naval exercise, known as DENİZKURDU-I, from October 21 to 25 in the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Black Seas.

According to Defense Ministry spokesperson Zeki Akturk, the exercise aims to assess the operational readiness of the Turkish Naval Forces, evaluate command and control efficiency, and enhance joint interoperability. A total of 92 ships, seven submarines, 15 aircraft, 14 helicopters, and 22 drones will participate, with live-fire exercises planned.

This is the second time this year that Turkey has conducted the DENİZKURDU-I naval exercise, which is typically held every two years. The previous exercise was completed in two phases in January and May.
