Stefanos Tsitsipas was eliminated from the European Open semifinals in Antwerp after losing 2-0 (6-4, 6-4) to Czech player Jiri Lehecka.

The Greek star, ranked world #7, struggled in key moments of both sets, allowing Lehecka, ranked #33, to capitalise and secure his spot in the final.

Tsitsipas, aiming for his second title of the year, failed to take advantage of a favourable draw, with top contenders Alex de Minaur and Felix Auger-Aliassime already out. The 22-year-old Lehecka proved too strong, breaking Tsitsipas at crucial points and leveling their head-to-head record at 2-2. The loss marks Lehecka’s second victory over Tsitsipas this year, following their previous encounter at Indian Wells in March.
