Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes to Attend 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival

Renowned actors Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes are set to appear as special guests at the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, which will run from October 31 to November 10.

The announcement was made during a press conference revealing this year’s festival program.

Binoche and Fiennes will attend a special screening of the iconic 1996 film The English Patient, in which both starred. They will be honoured with the festival's Golden Alexander award for their contributions to cinema.

Binoche won an Academy Award for her performance in the film, while Fiennes earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Additionally, the festival will showcase The Return, a new Greek co-production where the two actors reunite as Odysseus and Penelope. Directed by Uberto Pasolini and filmed in Corfu, this adaptation of the final chapter of Homer’s Odyssey will also be featured at the event, with Pasolini in attendance.
