A strong earthquake struck between Cyprus and Turkey today, shaking several regions in both countries.
Initially recorded at a magnitude of 5.1 by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake’s strength was later revised to 4.6 on the Richter scale.

The tremor occurred at 12:09 PM local time off the coast of the Gazipaşa district in Antalya, Turkey. The quake was felt across many areas of Turkey, including Mersin and the city center of Antalya, as well as in the Gazipaşa, Manavgat, Alanya, and Kepez districts.
In Cyprus, the tremor was also felt in the capital Nicosia and the coastal city of Paphos, prompting concerns across the region. No immediate reports of significant damage or casualties have been confirmed. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as aftershocks may follow.
