Nikolaos De Grece and Chrysi Vardinoyannis Tie the Knot in the Wedding of the year

Nikolaos de Grece and Chrysi Vardinoyannis's wedding has concluded. The ceremony was held at the Church of Agios Nikolaos Ragkavas in Plaka, and many well-known friends and family attended to honour the couple's union.

The spotlight was on Chrysi Vardinoyannis, who wore an elegant wedding dress by Greek designer Christos Costarellos and, according to reports, donned an antique Corsair tiara from Anna Maria's collection.

The Couple's Departure
As the ceremony concluded, the couple joyfully exited the church, greeting their loved ones who attended their wedding.

Famous Guests
Father Alexandros Kariotoglou was one of the two priests officiating the wedding and arrived at 4 p.m., just as roads around the church began to close. Soon after, Metropolitan Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selinos, also a bride's relative, arrived.

Among the guests gathered at the historic Athens church were Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni, accompanied by her mother Eleni Vardinoyanni Kefalogianni, Princess Benedikte of Denmark with her daughter Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Agapi Politi, Matthew Kumar, and Princess Theodora, among many others.

The Pre-Wedding Party in Koukaki
Last night, the former royal family dined at the "Hotel Grande Bretagne," then headed to "Voulkanizater" in Koukaki. Chrysi Vardinoyannis and Nikolaos de Gres hosted a pre-wedding party for family and close friends.

Guests first enjoyed white tarama mousse with grey mullet roe and creamy leek soup with caramelized leeks, herb croutons, and chicken apaki. An alternative first course included valley shrimp "saganaki" with feta cream and confit cherry tomatoes. For the main course, guests chose between a slow-cooked "Mount Athos" grouper fillet with potatoes in organic olive oil and a small fennel salad or short rib "giouvetsi" with aged feta.

Dessert featured baklava with caramelized Aegina pistachios and bitter chocolate mousse with vanilla salt and organic olive oil for enhanced flavour.
