Greek long jump superstar Miltiadis Tentoglou finished second in the long jump at the Torun meeting, his third competition of the season.
The Paris Olympic champion had a best jump of 8.03m in his sixth attempt, finishing behind Mattia Furlani, who was in excellent form and jumped 8.37m in his final attempt.
Tentoglou‘s coach, Giorgos Pomaski, started the competition with a jump of 7.78m, followed by 7.97m, 6.98m, 8.02m, 7.98m, and 8.03m.
In his sixth attempt, Tobias Montler also jumped 8.03m, briefly dropping Tentoglou to third place. However, the Greek champion responded with another 8.03m jump, regaining second place due to a better second-best jump.
