Greek authorities have ordered the demolition of several illegal structures on Mykonos following inspections by the Environment Ministry. Inspectors discovered numerous building code violations during their visit from February 13-18, 2025, including unauthorized building extensions, unlicensed construction, and even a section of beach illegally paved with concrete and disguised with sand. A second inspection team arrived on February 17th to continue investigations. The ministry has mandated that all illegal constructions be demolished within 30 days.
