Kavala, Greece – The fashion industry mourns the loss of Pavlos Hatzipaulidis, the visionary founder of the popular women’s clothing brand Pink Woman, who passed away at the age of 61.

In a somber announcement, the Intrafashion Group, along with its president and CEO, Dimitris Matemtzi, confirmed the passing of Hatzipaulidis. The statement was brief, reflecting the gravity of the loss.
Pink Woman’s Announcement
“We were deeply saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Pavlos Hatzipaulidis, the founder of Pink Woman.
For some of us, he was much more than a colleague… he was a friend… he was a brother. His strength, love, dedication, and creativity shaped his life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
We will always remember him with love, appreciation, and boundless respect. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his beloved wife, Evgenia.”
From Drama to All of Greece
Born in a small village in Drama, Hatzipaulidis had a passion for fashion from a young age. Inspired by global trends, particularly those set by Amancio Ortega of Zara, he sought to bring innovative concepts to the Greek market.
His journey in retail began in Kavala, where he managed international brands before founding Pink Woman in 2006. Starting from a workshop in Nikisiani Pangaio, the brand quickly expanded its reach, establishing collaborations with manufacturers in Italy, Turkey, China, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, and Morocco. By 2018, Pink Woman had grown to nearly 80 franchise locations across Greece.
In 2016, recognizing the need for broader management, Hatzipaulidis established the brand’s headquarters in Athens, while keeping Kavala as its operational base, home to its logistics center.
The Intrafashion Era
In 2020, the Intrafashion Group, under the leadership of Dimitris Matemtzi, acquired Pink Woman, yet maintained a close relationship with Hatzipaulidis. Under Intrafashion’s stewardship, the focus has been on network expansion and quality enhancement, leading Pink Woman to boast the largest network of physical stores among Greek brands with 120 locations, complemented by a robust online presence through its e-shop.
Matemtzi has emphasized the importance of e-commerce, stating, “E-commerce knows no borders, and its penetration in the Greek market is ongoing. This is a natural progression in the era of market globalization, alongside competition from physical stores. In this context, Pink Woman’s 4.5% market share is noteworthy.”
