The villa is part of a duo of townhouses in a building named after the Greek island Mykonos. No.2 features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a garage. Designed to maximize natural light and the coastal ambiance, it boasts off-white walls, spacious interiors, curved windows, outdoor terraces with greenery, and a striking dome watchtower, known as a cupola or belvedere.

Rachel Sellman, a sales executive from Century 21 Connolly Hay Group Noosa Heads, described the building as well-known in the area.

An iconic Greek-inspired villa at No.2/37 Duke Street in Sunshine Beach, designed with Mediterranean elements like arched windows and a belvedere, sold for $3.5 million within days of hitting the market. The property, part of a duo named after Mykonos, features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and maximizes natural light with its off-white walls and spacious interiors.,

Situated less than 400 meters from the beach and about 100 meters from the town center, she remarked, “I think it is quite iconic at Sunshine Beach. It has been there for a long time and really transports you to Mykonos. I’ve spent time in Mykonos, and this building is very authentic to a villa on the island.”

Ms. Sellman praised its construction, saying, “It is very solid, very well built. It’s been constructed exactly like you would see overseas, with its curved and rendered construction, light cream colors, and beautiful bougainvilleas enhancing the Mediterranean feel.”

The property was sold within days of listing. “It was sold in only a few days,” Ms. Sellman confirmed. “Unless you attended the first open home, you wouldn’t have seen it. There were people flying in from Sydney and Melbourne who missed out because it sold so fast.”

The previous owners were local interior designers, while the new owners are eager to enjoy time in Sunshine Beach near family.

Ms. Sellman also mentioned selling the large home behind these units for $9 million a couple of years ago, and townhouse No.1 has remained in the same ownership since 1995. It’s believed all were constructed simultaneously, creating a unique setup with a house and two townhouses on the same site.

The property at No.2/37 Duke Street was sold for $1.01 million in 2017, $3 million last year, and this year for an additional $500,000.
