Fire Breaks Out at EYDAP Construction Site in Holargos, Damaging Six Vehicles

A fire erupted in the early hours of March 28, 2025, at a construction site operated by the Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP) in the Holargos district, causing significant damage to six parked vehicles.

The blaze broke out at 04:30 a.m. at the site located at the end of Anastaseos Street. Twelve firefighters, supported by four fire engines, rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the flames. Initial reports indicate that the fire caused material damage to six vehicles stationed at the site.

According to state broadcaster ERT, there are indications that the fire may have been the result of arson, though investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause.
