Authorities in Agrinio are conducting a large-scale manhunt for two individuals, aged 18 and 20, who escaped from the holding cells of the Acarnania Police Directorate.
The fugitives are among five suspects accused of attempting to break into an ATM in the Agrinio area on April 12, during which they allegedly stole components and parts of the machine. The stolen items were later recovered near the suspects’ residences and confiscated by police.
Police operations are underway across Agrinio and surrounding areas to locate and apprehend the escapees. An investigation into the circumstances of their escape from the detention facility is also ongoing, with authorities working to determine how the breach occurred.
