Greek FM Giorgos Gerapetritis visited Halki Theological School

On May 1, 2025, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis visited the Halki Theological School in Constantinople, where he met Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos, as announced by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.

Earlier that day, Gerapetritis met with Metropolitan Dimitrios of the Princes’ Islands and Exarch of the Propontis. The previous day, he visited the Phanar, where he was warmly received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew—this marked Gerapetritis’s first visit to the Sacred Center of Orthodoxy since becoming Foreign Minister.

The discussions underscored the deep, enduring bond between the Hellenic Republic and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, highlighting the Patriarchate’s pivotal role in the global Orthodox community.
