A 34-year-old man was arrested in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on Monday, facing multiple felony charges for torturing and killing a kitten, as well as drug and weapons offenses.
The horrific act was exposed after neighbors recorded a video showing the man repeatedly kicking a kitten, dragging it to a spot on the road, and deliberately running it over with his car, resulting in the animal’s death. The footage, deemed too graphic to share, also captured the suspect’s car license plates, enabling swift identification.

Following his arrest, a search of his home uncovered 76.33 grams of cocaine, a folding knife, €4,500 in cash, and a precision scale with drug residue. He faces charges for animal cruelty, drug possession, and illegal weapons possession.
The suspect remains in custody pending a pre-trial detention decision.
