EKPA: 170,000 Degrees Now Accessible via gov.gr

NKUA Digital Degrees

Athens, August 5, 2025 – The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) has made over 170,000 degrees available online through the gov.gr platform, streamlining access for graduates.

Graduates who earned undergraduate degrees from NKUA’s 42 departments since 2000 can now obtain digital copies of their diplomas via ptyxia.gov.gr. Postgraduate degrees issued from 2022 onward are also available.

How to Access Digital Degrees

To retrieve a digital copy, graduates should:

  1. Visit gov.gr and search for the “Higher Education Degrees” service or go directly to ptyxia.gov.gr.
  2. Log in using TaxisNet credentials and provide their AMKA (social security number).
  3. Download the digital diploma, which includes a unique verification code and an advanced electronic seal from gov.gr for authenticity.

These digital copies can be emailed, printed, or submitted physically. The authenticity of any document can be verified at docs.gov.gr/validate by entering the verification code.

For international use, degrees can be authenticated with the Hague Apostille through e-apostille.gov.gr, eliminating the need for two in-person visits and enabling seamless sharing abroad.
