The 31st anniversary of the Greek-Serbian Orthodox and Cultural Day of Friendship was celebrated in Australia on Sunday, September 14, 2025, with what organizers described as the largest and most vibrant event in the institution’s history.
The celebration, which lasted an impressive seven hours, brought together thousands of members of the Greek and Serbian diaspora for a day filled with music, dance, food, and cultural exchange. Community leaders and clergy emphasized the deep bonds of faith and friendship that unite Greeks and Serbs, both in the Orthodox tradition and through their shared history.

Organizers noted that this year’s program was the longest and most elaborate since the founding of the annual tradition, featuring a rich showcase of performances, traditional costumes, and symbolic acts of unity. Representatives from both communities hailed the event as a testament to the enduring spirit of cooperation and cultural pride among the diaspora.

Photographs capturing the energy and scale of the celebration are being shared widely, highlighting the colorful displays of heritage and the joyful participation of younger generations.

The Greek-Serbian Friendship Day, now in its 31st year, has become a cornerstone of cultural life for the two communities in Australia, strengthening ties while keeping traditions alive for future generations.
