Mitsotakis–Erdoğan Meeting Postponed at UN General Assembly

NEW YORK — The scheduled Tuesday evening (September 23) meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly, was postponed at Turkey’s request.

The reason is Erdoğan’s participation in a meeting of Arab and Muslim leaders hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump in New York. A new date for the Mitsotakis–Erdoğan meeting is being sought during the UN General Assembly.
