Greece Drawn into United Cup ‘Group of Fire’ for 2026

PERTH, Australia – The official draw for the 2026 United Cup has placed Greece back in Perth for the third time in the tournament’s four-year history, and this time in what is already being called the toughest group of the competition.

World No.11 Stefanos Tsitsipas and World No.17 Maria Sakkari will lead Greece in Group E at RAC Arena, where they will face:

Greece has been drawn into a blockbuster Group E for the 2026 United Cup in Perth, facing Great Britain and Japan in what is already being labelled the ‘group of fire’. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari will return to RAC Arena for the third time in four years, taking on Jack Draper, Emma Raducanu, and Naomi Osaka in the opening week of the new season.

The Perth-based Group E is the clear standout on paper, pitting three Grand Slam champions (Tsitsipas, Sakkari, Raducanu, Osaka) against each other in the opening week of the 2026 season.

Group A: USA, Spain, Argentina
Group C: Italy, France, Switzerland
Group E: Great Britain, Greece, Japan

The remaining three groups will be played in Sydney at Ken Rosewall Arena.

Greece has developed a strong affinity with Perth, having played there in both the inaugural 2023 edition and again in 2025. The Greek duo famously reached the quarter-finals in 2023 before falling to eventual runners-up Italy.

The 2026 United Cup runs from 27 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 (group stage), with the final eight taking place in Sydney from 6–11 January.
