Rhodes, Greece – November 30, 2025
A 55-year-old man was arrested on the island of Rhodes on Thursday after his 31-year-old daughter accused him of years of sexual abuse, including rape and incest, and claimed that her three-year-old daughter is also his biological child.

Authorities acted on an arrest warrant issued following a report by social services that raised serious concerns about the woman’s treatment. The Rhodes Public Prosecutor ordered an immediate preliminary investigation.
According to the victim’s testimony, given in the presence of a psychologist, the abuse began when she was 16 and continued for years inside the family home where she lived with her grandmother after her parents’ separation. She described almost daily sexual assaults accompanied by death threats and physical violence if she ever spoke out. The woman stated that her father had a long-term cannabis addiction.
The abuse reportedly ended four years ago when the victim became pregnant with her second child and finally managed to break away. Initially, she believed the child was conceived with her then-partner.
Crucial DNA evidence sealed the case: tests ordered by the prosecutor showed a 99.9-percent match between the 55-year-old and the victim’s three-year-old daughter, confirming biological paternity with near certainty. A separate test on the victim’s older child excluded any relation to the suspect.

The 55-year-old denies rape, admitting only to a short period of what he claims was consensual sexual contact that ended when “they realized it was wrong.”
He has been charged with repeated rape, incest, sexual abuse of a minor by a family member, and domestic violence. The investigation continues.
