Greek Teen Alice Kallergi Confirmed Dead From Swiss Bar Fire

Swiss authorities have officially confirmed that 15-year-old Alice Kallergi, a dual Greek and Swiss citizen, is among the victims of the deadly fire that broke out at the Le Constellation bar in the Alpine resort of Crans-Montana on January 1, 2026.

The confirmation was formally communicated on Sunday, January 4, to the Greek Embassy in Bern and the Greek Consulate General in Geneva. Earlier, Alice’s father, Antonis, publicly confirmed her death through a post on Instagram, sharing an illustration of an angel ascending against a black background, accompanied by the name “Alice.”

The fire, which erupted inside the popular nightlife venue, claimed multiple lives and has sparked growing concern over safety conditions at the premises.

Former staff members and witnesses have since raised serious allegations regarding inadequate safety measures at the bar on the night of the tragedy. Andrea, who worked as a bartender at Le Constellation, said an additional emergency exit existed in the basement where patrons were gathered but was routinely locked.

“The emergency exit was located in a separate smoking room. Almost no one used it. The smoking room was being used as a kind of storage space. There was a sofa blocking the door and objects scattered outside,” she said.

Swiss authorities are investigating the incident, while the bar’s French owner couple is reportedly facing multiple charges related to negligence, including involuntary manslaughter, bodily harm and arson.

The investigation into the cause of the fire and potential safety violations remains ongoing.
