Brisbane Roar Football Club wishes to inform members and fans that A-League Men’s Head Coach Michael Valkanis has been granted personal leave to return to Greece due to an emergency family medical situation.
Assistant Coach Borja Lema will take charge of the team and lead them in Friday night's match against Perth Glory.
The club's thoughts are with Michael, Dimitri, and the entire Valkanis family during this difficult time. We look forward to welcoming Michael back when the situation allows. In the meantime, everyone at Brisbane Roar is committed to securing a win in Perth as a show of support for Michael and his family.
