Greece Announces 510 Permanent Health Sector Jobs

Greece will fill 510 positions in hospitals and health agencies through ASEP’s 1K/2026 recruitment notice, authorities confirmed. The announcement, sent to the National Printing Office, opens permanent positions and three-year fixed-term contracts at the Papageorgiou General Hospital and other institutions nationwide.

The jobs cover University and Mandatory Education levels and include biologists, biochemists, medical physicists, administrative and financial staff, social workers, engineers, special educators, and IT graduates. Hospitals participating include Kifisia Oncology Hospital “Agioi Anargyroi,” Laiko General Hospital, Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital, Katerini General Hospital, Heraklion University Hospital, Hippocrates Hospital Athens, and Xanthi General Hospital.

Officials noted that ASEP will fill more than 16,500 permanent public sector positions in 2026, with 3,806 in healthcare and 6,643 in aviation, university hospitals, and other public agencies. Three additional notices will cover 6,290 positions exclusively for participants in the 2nd nationwide ASEP written exam.

Experts expect all health sector notices, including 43 jobs in the Civil Aviation Authority and university/technological roles for the written exam, to be published by Easter.
