Greece opened the Parade of Nations at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, continuing its traditional role as the birthplace of the Olympic Games.
Greek athlete Nefeli Tita led her cross-country skiing teammates Konstantina Charalampidou and Apostolos Angelis in the parade in Predazzo, while alpine skier Maria Eleni Tsiovolou marched in Cortina.

Greece asked organisers to allow all Greek athletes to parade together at the San Siro stadium in Milan, but local organisers rejected the request. Officials said they made the decision to minimise disruption for athletes staying in mountainous areas far from Milan.
More than 3,500 athletes from 93 countries will take part in this year’s Winter Games. Teams will parade in alphabetical order, while host nation Italy will close the ceremony.
