Giorgos Mazonakis

Popular Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis was urgently transported to a private hospital in Piraeus on the evening of Tuesday, February 10, 2026, after suddenly feeling very unwell at his home in the southern suburbs of Athens.

According to reports by journalists Dimitris Popotas and Aria Kalyva — later confirmed by the shows Happy Day and Proino — the artist experienced sudden and intense abdominal pain accompanied by a high fever, causing significant concern for both himself and those close to him. He immediately contacted friends and his personal doctor, leading to the quick decision to transfer him to the hospital for thorough examination.

Since being admitted, Mazonakis has undergone a series of medical tests to identify the exact cause of his symptoms. His attending physicians are closely monitoring his condition, and according to the same sources, he may remain hospitalized through Wednesday to complete the necessary diagnostic procedures.

Despite the health scare, Giorgos Mazonakis is reportedly in very good spirits and maintaining a positive psychological state, as confirmed by his medical team.

Statement from his lawyer, Charalambos Lykoudis
Speaking on the morning show Proino on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the singer’s lawyer provided the following update:

“He has a viral infection. He was admitted to a private hospital — it’s nothing worrisome. He will stay in the hospital today for precautionary reasons and to complete some tests. God willing, he should be discharged tomorrow. I believe he is already improving,” Lykoudis stated.

Fans and colleagues are wishing the beloved artist a speedy and full recovery!
