Prime Minister Mitsotakis to Visit Singapore to Attract Investment to Greece

Athens, 19 November 2025 – Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will travel to Singapore on 20–21 November with the primary goal of positioning Greece as an attractive destination for international investors.

During the two-day visit, Mitsotakis will hold bilateral talks with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. This will be his second meeting with a Singaporean prime minister, after his December 2022 encounter with then-Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on the sidelines of the EU-ASEAN summit in Brussels.

Key topics on the agenda include EU-Singapore relations, current regional and global developments, and deeper bilateral cooperation in digital governance and artificial intelligence – areas in which Singapore is widely regarded as a world leader.

The Prime Minister will also attend the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Asia’s premier gathering of global investors, business leaders and policymakers from Asia, Europe and the United States. On 21 November, he will join a public conversation with Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait, addressing Europe’s economic, political, geopolitical and energy challenges facing Europe.

In parallel, Mitsotakis will meet representatives of major international investment funds and organisations to highlight Greece’s competitive advantages in both traditional sectors and fast-growing fields such as technology, energy and logistics.

The visit underscores Greece’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with dynamic Asian economies and attract high-quality foreign direct investment.
