Mitsotakis Calls Cabinet Over Natural Disasters, Digital Security

The Greek Government Cabinet will convene on Tuesday at 11:00 am under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The meeting will take place at the Maximos Mansion in Athens.

According to the agenda, Vice President of the Government and Minister of State Kostis Hatzidakis, together with Minister of State Akis Skertsos, will present a proposal for the approval of the Unified Government Policy Plan for 2026.

Justice Minister Giorgos Floridis and Deputy Justice Minister Yiannis Bougas will then present a draft bill establishing a Unified Digital Registry for monitoring corruption cases.

Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Minister Yiannis Kefalogiannis is expected to outline a bill aimed at reforming Greece’s system of prevention, preparedness and response to forest fires, as well as other natural, technological or man-made disasters.

The session will also include a presentation by Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou, who will introduce practical guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence across government ministries.

The meeting comes as the government continues to advance reforms focused on transparency, public safety and digital transformation.
