Pete Zogoulas (known as Pete Z on YouTube and X @PeteZogoulas), a proud Greek-Australian from Sydney, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund his bold, independent investigation into alleged widespread fraud within Australia's National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
In a heartfelt video and post shared today (January 9, 2026), Pete explained his mission:
"Hey everyone, my name is Pete Z. I’m an independent Australian investigator working on a public interest investigation into alleged FRAUD in the NDIS. The NDIS is meant to protect vulnerable people. When it’s exploited, real people are harmed. That’s why I’m doing this work. The government grants $52B to the NDIS each year and growing. Higher than the defence budget."
The funds will cover critical expenses:
- Travel back to Sydney
- Security measures (Pete added with his signature humor: "so I don't get killed lol")
- Filming and production costs for a major upcoming video exposé
He stressed the work is non-political, fact-based (drawing from NDIS website data, public records, and whistleblowers), and focused on protecting the most vulnerable—disabled and elderly Australians.
This comes amid escalating official NDIS crackdowns: The Fraud Fusion Taskforce has executed raids, blocked millions in claims, and secured jail sentences for multimillion-dollar fraud schemes (e.g., fake services, money laundering, identity theft). Recent cases include $50M+ networks, $5.8M rorts, and prosecutions for overcharging or non-existent services.
