Greek Public Picks Final Seven Acts for Eurovision National Final

Greece’s race to select its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 reached a dramatic milestone on 13 February, as the second semi-final of Sing for Greece 2026 crowned its seven finalists in a night dominated by public voting, fan enthusiasm, and standout performances.

The national selection series, organised by state broadcaster ERT, acts as Greece’s official route to choosing its representative for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place this year in Vienna, Austria in May.

Semi-Final 2 Decides Final Seven

The second semi-final, held in Peiraios 260 in Tavros, Athens, featured 14 entries, but only seven songs advanced to the Grand Final on 15 February — completing a 14-song lineup. The qualifiers were determined exclusively by public televote, a format consistent across both semi-finals.

After the votes were tallied, the following acts secured final berths:

  • Good Job Nicky – “Dark Side of the Moon”

  • Mikay – “Labyrinth”

  • Marika – “Daughters of the Sun (A, E, I, O, U)”

  • D3lta – “Mad About You”

  • leroybroughtflowers – “Sabotage!”

  • Koza Mostra – “Bulletproof”

  • Zaf – “Asteio”

The successful artists now join the top seven qualifiers from the first semi-final, which included Alexandra Sieti (“The Other Side”), Akylas (“Ferto”), Evangelia (“Parea”), Marseaux (“Hanomai”), Rosanna Mailan (“Alma”), Stefi(“Europa”), and Stylianos (“You & I”).

The second semi-final delivered a wide range of styles, from indie-flavored pop to dance and rock-inspired grooves. Fans and commentators alike highlighted Good Job Nicky’s “Dark Side of the Moon” as a favourite, given its strong online presence and early showings in fan polls.

Veteran group Koza Mostra also returned to the Greek selection stage, evoking memories of their popular 2013 Eurovision entry “Alcohol Is Free,” and energising audiences with their performance.

Despite stiff competition, several artists did not progress. Performances by Rikki (“Agapi”), Garvin (“Back In The Game”), Kianna (“No More Drama”), Stella Kay, Tianora, Victoria Anastasia, and Basilica failed to secure enough votes on the night.

Road to the Grand Final

With both semi-finals complete, the Grand Final on 15 February will determine Greece’s entry for Eurovision 2026. A combination of public televote (50%), a Greek professional jury (25%), and an international jury (25%) will decide the winner, balancing domestic preferences with broader continental appeal.

The stakes are high: Greece enters Eurovision on the heels of a strong performance last year, with singer Klavdiaachieving one of Greece’s best results since 2013.

Fans and media outlets have noted that the selection process reflects a blend of established acts and emerging talent, signalling growing diversity in Greek Eurovision entries. The mix of genres and styles across this year’s finalists suggests that Greece's upcoming song choice could appeal to both local supporters and international audiences when it takes to the Eurovision stage in Vienna.
