An underwater archaeological survey near Asini, Greece, has uncovered significant remains of an ancient artificial port structure. Conducted in October 2024 as part of a five-year research project, the excavation revealed submerged stone-built structures, amphora fragments, and other artifacts, offering new insights into the region’s maritime history. Led by a collaboration between Greek and Swedish institutions, the study aims to determine the port’s construction period and historical role. Findings will be documented in academic journals, further illuminating Asini’s significance in ancient trade and settlement patterns.
