On May 19, Greece marked the 106th anniversary of the Pontian Genocide with solemn ceremonies at Syntagma Square and the Hellenic Parliament. Evzones of the Presidential Guard honoured the memory of the 353,000 victims by performing the changing of the guard in traditional Pontian attire, while the Parliament lit its facade with a symbolic projection commemorating the tragedy.
