NATO is urging Greece to transfer Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Ukraine to strengthen its air defenses against Russia’s invasion. The potential deal, facilitated through intermediaries like France or Germany, aligns with NATO’s Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List, allowing Greece to replace donated jets with newer U.S. systems. A decision may be reached before the November NATO summit.
The Israeli Air Force joins Greece’s annual Iniochos aerial exercise alongside Qatar and 10 other nations, deploying a Gulfstream G550 spy plane. The drill, which began on March 31 and runs through April 11, features joint air combat simulations and operational coordination, with Qatar contributing F-15 jets and the UAE bringing Mirage 2000 aircraft.
