Athens is hosting *Orange Week* from November 18 to 25, a series of free art-focused events aimed at raising awareness about gender-based violence. Organised by the Municipality of Athens, the initiative coincides with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and features performances, film screenings, concerts, and more. Mayor Haris Doukas called on citizens and artists to join the effort, emphasising, “Violence against women and girls must end now.”

The Olympic Games Closing Ceremony featured a spectacular show directed by Thomas Jolly, highlighting the unifying spirit of sports. Performers graced the Stade de France with daring aerial acts and recycled costumes, while tributes to the next Summer Games in Los Angeles included a special performance by Gabriella Wilson, known as H.E.R., and an exciting flag transfer involving Tom Cruise. The evening culminated in the poignant extinguishing of the Olympic Flame.
