Greece's national team beat rivals Norway in the final of the 2018 women's beach handball world championships held in Kazan, Russia on Sunday, to win its first-ever world championship title.
Greece prevailed with a score of 2-1 (18-14, 15-24, 5-2) to climb to the top of the rankings and win the gold.
This means that Greece, which participated in a world championship tournament for the first time, will automatically qualify for the World Games to be held in the summer of 2019 in San Diego, United States.
