Syrian jihadist filmed abusing prisoners has been seeking asylum in Greece since 2018 (VIDEO)

Syrian ISIS jihadist now in Greece.

A 27-year-old jihadist, who was arrested by the Counter-Terrorism Service in the Eleonas migrant camp in Attica, was trying to create a persona of being a family man while seeking asylum in Greece.

He lived in a small house with his wife and their five children, and even took care of and maintained the camp.

The Anti-terrorist police have been monitoring him for quite some time, trying to gather as much information as possible about his movements in Greece.

The question for the Greek authorities is whether he is an “active” terrorist, if he is a terrorist sleeper cell, or if he has left behind his terrorist past.

The police were mainly worried about his online contacts with the nuclei of ISIS.

According to Ethnos, the answer to the above questions is expected to be given after analysis on his mobile phone, which has been transferred to the Directorate of Criminological Investigations of the Greek Police.

Among other things, his movements through online applications will be thoroughly investigated – who did he talk to and what was the content of the conversations is the most important part of the analysis.

The beginning of the end for the 27-year-old member of ISIS came last Wednesday, when incidents broke out in the migrant camp in Eleonas.

The Syrian jihadist was one of the protagonists as he had a fight with a group of people of another nationality for reasons related to the living conditions in the camp.

Police intervened and proceeded with arrests.

Among the suspects was the fanatical Islamist, who, unlike the other suspects who were taken to the Police Department, was taken to the offices of the Counter-Terrorism for interrogation.

There he allegedly confessed to being a jihadist of ISIS that had been involved in killing.

It is reported that the 27-year-old was extremely activity in 2013-2014 when he was in the war zone as a jihadist with a leading role in ISIS.

There he is said to have committed murders and participated in atrocities.

A video posted on YouTube in November 2017, now with over 100,000 views, shows him abusing prisoners.

The 27-year-old left the war zone, traveled with his wife and five children to Turkey and then crossed by boat from the Turkish coast to a Greek island in the northeastern Aegean.

Greek authorities recorded his arrival in the country on March 28, 2018. The ISIS member sought political asylum and some time later was transferred to the immigration reception center in Eleonas.

The Anti-terrorist department was informed about his action, in cooperation with foreign services, and began to monitor him, without him realizing the slightest thing.

A criminal case has been filed against him for joining the ISIS terrorist organization, as well as for direct assistance in murder.

The jihadist accepted the charges against him and is being brought before the Prosecutor of the Athens Court of First Instance.

Earlier this month, a 27-year-old jihadist from Tajikistan was arrested in the Peloponnese on accusations of being a member of ISIS, as reported by Greek City Times.
