In a country of less than 11 million people, Greece has surpassed 3 million vaccinations today.
"Today we are topping 3,000,000 vaccinations," Deputy Digital Governance Minister Georgios Georgantas said in a radio interview with state broadcaster ERT on Wednesday.

"Our young people have responded and booked 200,000 appointments on the first day that the platform opened," he said in reference to yesterday's opening.
"It is significant that the more educated generation of the country over the years shows faith in scientific knowledge and sends a message of responsibility to the social whole," he added.
The minister, whose portfolio concerns the simplification of administrative procedures, noted that the daily rate of vaccinations is steadily increasing and will become even faster after May 5.
On May 5, more vaccination centres will go into operation, so that there will be 1,500 in total.
He said there was a good flow of vaccines into Greece and that the available doses are increasing.
The one-shot Johnson vaccine will soon be added to the mix, with 1.3 million doses expected to arrive between May and June.
