US advises citizens against travel to Greece

The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned citizens on Monday against travel to Greece reported Reuters.

According to Reuters, other countries listed included Ireland, Iran, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other destinations because of a rising number of COVID-19 cases.

Similarly, the State Department on Monday raised its advisory to "Level 4 – Do Not  Travel" also for Greece.

travel advisoryIn early April, the State Department listed 34 countries as "Level 4: Do Not Travel," and then added more than 100 countries to better align with CDC ratings.

After taking many countries off its highest warning level since June, the United States has been quickly adding more countries back because of rising COVID-19 cases with the Delta variant emerging . It currently lists about 90 at the highest warning level 4.
