Alkis' childhood friend is shocked - The trip to Milan that he did not manage to make

Alkis Kabanou

The childhood friend of 19-year-old Alkis Kabanou, who was murdered in Thessaloniki by football hooligans, stated that she is shocked.

The two have been friends since the first grade and had a very close relationship and the young girl said she will have him in her heart forever.

In fact, Isabella lives permanently in Milan and the 19-year-old was planning to travel to Italy so they could spend time together.

However, fate had other plans.

Isabella said she is shocked not only because she lost her childhood friend, but also because due to the geographic distance as she could not be at the funeral.

"Alkis was a golden man, he had a golden heart. He left in pain, he did not leave in a nice way," she said to ALPHA.

"It hurt a lot, it was completely unnecessary. Nobody expected it, he was just coming home.

"I was upset… When I saw the video I burst into tears again. I had a panic attack for 15 minutes.

"He was really my friend, he was always close to me no matter what.

"He was polite, smiling, never holding a grudge. He was always happy with the joys of others, he had compassion.

"He had told me that he was thinking of visiting me in Milan.

"I did not think that these people who did it were so young, I did not expect it.

"How did these people grow up? How did his friends experience it? Alkis was not a fanatic.

"You are not used to the loss, nor do you accept it.

"We were very close.

"Whether we like it or not, we are moving forward, but I am not ready," Isabella concluded.

The victim, a 19-year-old student and Aris fan, was murdered last week in an incident involving hooligans from rival club PAOK.

Testimonies from the accused started on Wednesday and will continue until Friday in Thessaloniki.
