There are six Greeks on the list of the richest people in the world, as compiled by Forbes magazine for 2023. Notably, Maria Angelicoussis, the head of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group, appeared for the first in the Forbes list as she has a fortune of $5.6 billion dollars.

Aristotelis (Telis) Mistakidis follows in second place among the Greeks, with a fortune of $3.2 billion. In the third Greek representation is Philip Niarchos, with a fortune of $2.8 billion.

Fourth in the list of the richest Greeks is Vardis Vardinogiannis and his family with a fortune of $1.9 billion.

The fifth Greek is Marianna Latsi and her siblings, Yannis and Margarita, with a fortune of $1.6 billion.

In sixth place among the Greeks is Spiros Latsis and his sisters, Marianna and Margarita, with a fortune of $1.5 billion .

It is enough to note that the total fortune of the Greek billionaires, who were among the richest people in the world, reaches $16.6 billion. Also, Maria Angelicoussis and Marianna Latsi are included in the list of Forbes billionaires for the first time.

It is recalled that regarding the 1st position of the top-25 of the richest people in the world this time there was a reversal, as Bernard Arnault, the French head of LVMH, “increased” his fortune by $53 billion and climbed to the top of the list.

Although the numbers are… dizzying, 2/3 of the top-25 saw their fortunes decline over the past 12 months. In fact, no one lost more than Jeff Bezos, who saw Amazon’s stock tumble 38%, losing $57 billion.
