During a press conference held after his meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Vilnius on Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his commitment to fostering positive international relationships, stating that Turkey aims to "cultivate more friendships than adversaries."
Acknowledging potential challenges posed by certain members of the US Congress, irrespective of their party affiliations, President Erdogan mentioned that the President and Secretary of State have reassured Turkey of their intention to closely monitor the situation. He expressed optimism, saying, "I am more hopeful than ever" regarding the outcome of these discussions.
Furthermore, President Erdogan emphasized that Turkey has never deployed its F-16 fighter jets against Greece and clarified that there are no plans to utilize them in such a manner.
